Dear Rangers Family,

As some of you may know, our club approached the Gawler and Districts College a few years ago to establish a Baseball Academy much like the one Seaton has. It was met with great enthusiasm by the school and it progressed well. At the early stages we recommended Billy Vincent to head the program. As the plans gathered momentum, Billy was successfully appointed and began work to build the diamond and establish the program.

Some of you may also have heard that Billy is no longer in the program or at the school. Naturally, this raised some concern with us about the future of the program. I am pleased to announce that we have met with the Principal and the school is still very much committed to the program and have since appointed a new teacher (with excellent baseball credentials) to take over the program. The school is pleased and thankful that our relationship and support continues. We will now meet with the head of the physical education department and the new teacher to continue to offer our support to the program so that it too, in time, becomes as strong as the Seaton program.

If you are a student of GDC, or a parent of a student there, enrolments are still open for Semester 2.
